Taking into consideration positive development dynamics of railway transportation of oil products Rail Garant Group increases its oil tank car fleet. Thus, in September 2011 RG put into operation 99 oil tank cars manufactured by OJSC "Altayvagonzavod".

In accordance with the Supply Contract entered into in the beginning of 2011 the total number of oil tank cars, model 15-2132, amounted to 160 units. The first batch of 46 oil tank cars was put into operation in spring months of the current year. It is planned to put the remaining 15 oil tank cars into operation by the end of September.

As a result of putting tank cars into operation the oil tank car fleet of Rail Garant will exceed 3 000 units.

According to the Management of the Company, “Due to seasonal redistribution of oil product transportation volumes to railway transport in autumn and winter period the occurrence of deficiency of oil tank cars is entirely possible in the network. In order to provide the active projects with the sufficient number of rolling stock the oil tank car fleet of Rail Garant will have increased to 3 300 tank cars by the end of the year”.
