In January-June 2011 volume of petrochemical cargo transportation of “Spetstransgarant” (Rail Garant Group) increased 2.5 times as compared with the similar period of the previous year. Based on the results of the first six months of this year the Company transported over 85.000 tons of petrochemical products.

In June increase in transportation volumes of petrochemical products by means of tank containers amounted to 21%.

As per “International Maritime Code” and “UN Dangerous Goods Transportation Guidelines” over 500 different liquid chemical cargoes are permitted to be transported in tank containers.

“Nowadays we transport most part of this list of products and continuously expand the line of goods depending on our customers’ needs, - says Olga Galkina, Chief Commercial Officer of the Company, - The main groups of chemical cargoes we transport are: organic and non-organic substances as well as industrial alcohols”.
