“Pipe Transport Company” (the member of Rail Garant Group of Companies) continues with the increase of the fleet of container platforms. A batch of 44 60-feet platforms manufactured by OAO “Altaivagonzavod” (Altai Carriage Works) was put to operation in June of the current year.

The increase in the number of 60-feet platforms by the same manufacturer expected during the current month will comprise 100 units.
The rate of containerization is still on the rise, which is confirmed by the data from OAO “RZD”. As compared to the similar period of the last year, the volume of containerized railway carriage in the first half of 2011 increased by 15.6%.

Taking into account the above growth, the Company management considers the increase of container platforms fleet to be well-timed and essential. By the end of June the number of platforms operated by PTC will amount to 1150 units, while the total fleet of platforms operated by Rail Garant Group will exceed 1700 units.
