As per results of the year 2010, the tank container fleet of Spectransgarant LLC amounted to 1,540 units, which is 1.5 times greater than the figures of the year 2009. Annual traffic volume of LHG and liquid petrochemicals in tank containers duplicated and amounted to 320,000 tonnes.

In the first place, the year 2010 was marked for STG by the active development of chemical goods transportation in tank containers, which resulted in the increase of the tank container fleet by 47 % (570 units).

Company’s plans for 2011 envisage the increase of the number of chemical tank containers up to 1,000 units. In addition, the Company plans to purchase at least 100 gas tank containers. Thus, the total tank container fleet of STG will exceed 2,000 units by the end of the year.

Besides, the Company plans to construct a container depot for flushing, degassing, repair, and scheduled inspection of tank containers in the current year. This is a unique project for Russia, which will allow to the Company itself to maintain both Company’s own tank container fleet and fleet of other owners without outsourcing, said Alexander Fokin, Director General of the Company.
